The grand opening gala of the Galería de arte Frida occurred recently and it was a magnificent event with visitors from across Chocolate City as well as some from other cities. The Mayor presented The Island with an award for architectural design and several local artists performed.
The first art exhibits included a fantastic collage of the growth of Chocolate City including the capital and Green Valley. This memorable collection brought fond memories back to many of the guests and the evening extended long into the night as many of the original residents shared tall tales of the past.
The facility is incredible and deserves a visit to explore the galleries and see the history of our city. Located across from Greenfair Garden Park it is yet another ion a long list of wonderful sites for The Island.
